Metro Atlanta Athletic Conference (MAAC)

The purpose of MAAC is to organize and promote middle school athletic programs, foster fair play and friendly rivalry for boys and girls grades 6-8 through interscholastic competitions, and to encourage good sportsmanship among contestants, schools and communities.

TMS Explorers compete against schools of similar size and skill through the Metro Atlanta Athletic Conference. (MAAC)

Students learn not only the skills of the game but they learn how to exemplify TMS Core Values (Responsibility, Respect, Cooperation, Sustainability, and Kindness) in athletics. They also serve as ambassadors of the school when visiting other campuses.

Sports Physical Required

All students will be required to submit a completed sports physical/medical form to participate in middle school sports this year. All physicals are good for one year. Also, parents and coaches will be required to complete concussion awareness training as part of ensuring our students safety.  There is a lot of misconceptions regarding concussions so we want to clear up any confusion for our parents and coaches.
